Ingredienser

  • 250 g All-purpose flour
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 60 g Butter, cold and cubed
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 1 Egg for egg wash

Instruktioner 

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead briefly.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 2 cm thick and cut out scones using a round cutter.
  7. Place the scones on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
