  • 4 fillets Herring cleaned and filleted
  • 1 cup Vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 pcs Bay leaves
  • 1 pcs Onion sliced

Instruktioner 

  1. 1. Mix vinegar, water, sugar, salt, peppercorns, mustard seeds, and bay leaves in a pot. Bring to a boil, then let cool.
  2. 2. Layer herring fillets and onion slices in a glass jar.
  3. 3. Pour the cooled marinade over the herring and onions. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
