Falafel Ingredients
- 400 g Chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Baking powder
- 4 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup Chopped fresh parsley
- 0.25 cup Chopped fresh cilantro
- 0.25 cup Water if needed
1. Blend chickpeas, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder in a food processor until smooth.
2. Add flour, parsley, and cilantro. Mix well. Add water if needed to form a dough.
3. Shape mixture into small balls or patties.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry falafel until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Serve hot with pita bread, salad, and tahini sauce.
